    Hello World,
    I am consulting a website out to a WordPress developer. I will be including a comprehensive blog in my website plans. When I told him this information, he told me that I should have a backup for a blog and a database ready for the blog.

    What exactly is he referring to?

    You cannot have a database backup system in place until – at the very least, you have a database and probably not until WordPress has been installed. So forget that for the moment.

    You will need to contact your hosts for assistance in setting up a database.
