Blocking Email Addresses with Spam Karma (7 posts)

I have a major problem on my website. I have this one annoying person who keeps on flaming me. He changes his IP constantly so I can't block him by IP. What I would like to be able to do is block his email address since he seems to be using the same one to comment with. I have tried adding his email to the URL and URL Regex fields, but neither seem to block him. Is there a way I can set this up in Spam Karma or another plugin I could use along side to do this. I really need to be able to block this guy. He's getting out of hand.

you should be able to just put his email address in the 'Comment Moderation' field in Options->Discussion afaik

Yeah I know but that doesn't work when Spam Karma is enabled.

There's an option in the SK options area to force it to respect it.... hang on a sec, let me see if I can find it....

Ah! There it is.... Under "Advanced Options (leave to default values if you are not sure)".... find the option that reads: "Take in account moderation criteria set on the Discussion page."

That should do it for you.

Yeah but that only works for 1.3 and 1.5. I'm still running 1.2 because several of the plugins I use aren't updated yet. :-( Keep the ideas coming.

Thanks for everyone's help. I upgraded to 1.5. Just felt the urge. It's now doing what it should.
