I’m getting many attempts to log in to admin from certain domains, always different ip addresses.

Does WF offer any means of blocking domains, e.g. megaservers.us or scalabledns.com

I can’t find anything in the settings pages

    Regards

    Hi Terry,

No, but we can block network blocks – meaning that we can block IP address ranges. So the way you do this is to do a WHOIS lookup on an IP address and find out which IP range it belongs to. Once you know that you can use the advanced block to block that IP address range. You should be able to do this by just clicking from the live traffic to whois to blocking.

We don’t offer domain blocking because it would require a DNS lookup for each hit from a new IP address which would slow your site down.

    Regards,

    Mark.

Ok – thanks for the info

Problem is, that feature only appears to allow 1 IP address range – I am seeing many IP addresses which would involve many IP address ranges

Is there any way around this?

    Regards
