Can you block IP's from commenting in WordPress like you can on irc? Here is an example:
255.555.*.*
So anyone that has an IP that starts with those two numbers will not be able to leave any comments.

Gotta admit that if you're doing that, I'd just block them totally. Do a google search for 'htaccess deny' for details if you're interested.
