My website http://fruitybeats.com doesn’t work anymore. My page is blank and if I try to go on the admin page it is also blank. I contacted my host, OVH (no publicity intended) and told it was wordpress fault. I need your help, thank you !

This is usually caused by an error introduced in the PHP code. It is common for this to happen when am error as small as a missing semicolon is missing to terminate a line.

Can you remember what changes you made or attempted to make before the site went to the ‘white screen of death’ as it is sometimes called? This could be an edit to a theme or plugin file, changing the theme or installing or updating a plugin.

Do you have FTP access to your site files?

Do you have a recent backup of the site files taken before this problem occurred?

Thank you for your quick answer, so I think I updated the plugins and deleted some spam comments and then tried to post something and then just blank..
I’m not sure what you mean by FTP but yes I have an access to my website by typing login at the end of the link.
And no I don’t have any backup of the site files before the problem (well I don’t think so)

There may be a problem with a plugin you updated. You need to find out if this is the case and if so which one is the culprit by deactivating all of the plugins, see if the site comes back up and if so reactivate the plugins one-by-one until the error reoccurs.

As you can’t get into admin to deactivate your plugins, that is where you need to use ftp. You will need an ftp client such as filezilla on your computer set up using your site’s ftp connection details which you can get from your hosting company.

    see: http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients

Once you are connected you should be able to navigate to your wp-content/plugins directory and rename it to quickly deactivate all plugins. Then if the site comes back, you should be able to set the name back to how it was, but the plugins will remain deactivated and you should be able to log into the site.

This is resolved. I copied using FTP the wp-content folder as well as well as wp-config.php file to a temp folder, then deleted everything, recopied all word press, copied the wp-content without the plugins sub folder and wp-confog.php. That gave me back access to the site. However the login was not working. I now login through http://www.mywebsite/wp-login.php instead of http://www.mywebsite/login ….. seems to work as well.
Thanks a lot for your advices.
