    I'm using the Easel theme with my own easel-child theme for WordPress. I'm getting a weird space above and below my menubar that I can't seem to select using Firebug to see what it is. There's just a hollow gap between the header, menubar and column-content.

    Now I've been on this forum and seen a MULTITUDE of solutions, usually involving the #main, but my theme doesn't have that. I've tried:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/twentyeleven-how-to-reduce-whitespace-below-menu-and-page-title?replies=20
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/theme-twenty-eleven-nothing-seems-to-remove-the-whitespace?replies=7
    And the mentioned methods in the link above. To no avail! It used to work until I transferred things over to my childtheme. Idk what could have gone wrong... My site's hosted locally so sadly I can't just link you to the problem!

    Yeah, CSS is totally theme/site specific. One thing to check is whether you have any HTML or CSS code errors that are preventing your changes from working:

    Unfortunately, it is very hard to help with CSS without seeing the site.

    OH it is resolved; A friend of mine helped to find this bit of code:

    .sidebar .widget {
    	margin-bottom: 10px;
    }

    And I nixed the padding on that and it helped. I couldn't find it for the life of me with firebug!
