    Hi all,

Experiencing an odd issue. When searching for no search term (/?s=), an unformatted list, unaffected by plugins is outputted.

Anyone have any idea how to solve this? I’ve searched around and haven’t found anyone experiencing/addressing this issue.

    Thanks,

    Natan

  • I’m having the same problem. No one seems to know how to solve it. I was thinking I could just do a redirect in .htaccess to send to home page or another page. But since standard 301 redirects don’t recognize query strings, it’s a bit more complex than it should be.

Can anyone help out with a rewrite condition/rule to target only the “?s=” query string and just remove it, so it takes the user back whatever the current URL was? Obviously this would have to leave “?s=yourSearchTerm” intact for search to work.

Have you tried using the plugin “Redirection”?

    That works perfectly! Thanks!

I guess I’ll mark this as resolved. 🙂
