[resolved] Blank screen (4 posts)

    I keep getting a blank screen anytime I try to access my blog: http://www.scvbb.org or when I try to login from Powweb.

    Anyone know why this is or what can be done to access my login and blog? I tried to uninstall and reinstall but it didn't work.

    On a search of these support forums I am finding many similar problems and I have tried many of the suggested solutions but nothing has worked.

    Could this be a Powweb issue and not a WordPress?

    ftp to site or use host's file manager to rename plugins folder, thus deactivating all plugins
    if a plugin is borked this will let you log in

    if this doesn't help, rename your theme folder, thus activating default theme
    if a theme error this will let you log in

    if neither of these work, try these memory options

    1. Try adding this line to your wp-config.php file:
    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

    2. If you have access to your PHP.ini file, change the line in PHP.ini
    If your line shows 32M try 64M:
    memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (64MB)

    3. If you don't have access to PHP.ini try adding this to an .htaccess file:
    php_value memory_limit 64M

    4. Talk to your host.

    Thanks for the response. Unfortunately none of those suggestions worked. I sent a support ticked early this morning to my host so hopefully they have a solution. If not I'll try one of the other blog apps they offer or just stick with the wordpress.com blog.

    I actually went in and deleted all of the WP_ files in the file manager after uninstalling and then reinstalled. So far I have been able to log in to the account and I am in the process of importing my blog. Hope this works.
