[resolved] Blank plugin page - Akismet and WordPress.com stats the problem? (4 posts)

I'm getting a little bit frustrated. I have Akismet and WordPress.com Stats installed. Before activating them, I downloaded a fair number of plugins for testing purposes. All of them activated, and deactivated without a problem.

However, since activating Akismet and WordPress.com Stats, it seems if I add a new plugin, and activate it, I get redirected to a blank page. The dashboard is viewable, as are the options for the recently activated plugin.

But the plugin page itself always returns a blank page.

I've narrowed it down to these two plugins via process of elimination. Interestingly, I can have one or the other turned on without a problem. The issues arise when both plugins are switched on.

Anyone got any ideas? I'd hate to lose either plugin.

    Have you tried:

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - increasing the memory available to PHP?

What errors are you getting? A blank page usually indicates a PHP error that isn't being shown to the user. Check your web server and PHP error logs to see if something is being reported there.

A bit late to give my thanks, but the topic linked above really helped. Turns out my webhost's PHP memory limit was set quite low to 8M. Increased it in a .htaccess file, and blank pages have become a thing of the past. :-)
