• I was trying to configure W3 total cache plugin but was keeping getting error messages saying that I had to properly configure htaccess file and that actual ftp permissions didn’t allow do to it automatically.
After a few tries I decided to disinstall the plugin and try re-installing it. when I clicked to disinstall, I got a blank page and from that moment all pages, both front end and admin, are blank… the site is still there (I can see the files via FTP).
I deleted the W3 total cache folder from the plugin folder.
I also tried changing the name of the theme folder to try force WP to load the default one and even tried changing the name of the whole plugin-folder to see if that was the problem.
    Nothing happened.

Any idea how to solve this?

I have also replaced all files but wp-content, .htaccess and wp-config.php hoping that this would have fixed the problem…. but… no 🙁

for some reason that I do not know, the file wp-config.php was blank.
Unfortunately I realized that AFTER downloading it again to my computer and editing (I wanted to activate the debugging script).
After some searching, I found an older (but still working) copy of that file on my pendrive… so the site is again working.
I will have to check if all the functionality are still there, but at least… no more blank pages! 🙂
