I’m trying to import a friend’s BlogSpot blog to her new site I’m setting up with WordPress. When I run the importer and log in to Google using her account, the next thing I get is a page that says:

    WordPress is requesting permission to:

        Manage your Blogger account

I click “Allow Access” and the next page that displays is just blank.

Any ideas how I go about working out what is causing this?

One thing I can think of is she does have 3 Blogs on BlogSpot. Could that be causing the problem? I only want to import one of them, but if necessary I can always delete any extra posts.

    Hi Mike,
the importer is capable of multiple blogs on blogspot, I’ve got 5 including my test ones.
That process sounds correct, blogger needs to redirect back to your local blog at that point so you should check that your wordpress URL is correctly set so it returns to your wordpress site.
However, a blank screen is usually a sign of a serious error. You can turn on debugging either to file or screen and the might tell you more.

Also if you have other plugins or themes installed then that might be affecting this plugin.

Thanks Andy. I just deactivated all plugins and it’s now importing.

I did enable debugging and got a message about a problem with Google Fonts before I disabled the plugins, so it was probably the Easy Google Fonts plugin.

But the importer locked up about half way though importing images. I see a couple of other posts about a similar problem, so I’ll try the suggestions from those.
