Still haunted by the blank page bug! 🙁
I Searched and fond a lot of discussion on this but no effective solution yet.
After I hit “submit a comment” my site went to a 404 page. This is the code that solved my problem. Maybe it can solve yours.
In comments.php try adding this line of code:
<input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]); ?>" />
After:
<?php thesis_hook_comment_form(); ?>
So the whole thing looks like:
<?php thesis_hook_comment_form(); ?>
<p>
<input name="submit" class="form_submit" type="submit" id="submit" tabindex="5" value="<?php _e('Submit', 'thesis'); ?>" />
<input type="hidden" name="comment_post_ID" value="<?php echo $id; ?>" />
<input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]); ?>" />
</p>
<?php do_action('comment_form', $post->ID); ?>

I guess, this could be due to improper update of WP from previous version!

I am trying out reuploading. Yes, I’m having problems with FTP. It gets timedout soon and just suspends all activity. May be it is server-related.
As you have guessed, some files might have been partially uploaded/overwritten.
I’ll check it out and come back to thank you again!!

Just downloaded 2.7.1 and copy over the old wp-content, but no luck.
I’ve got a similar but a little different problem — users can enter comments but they never display. Tried changing the theme, plugins, re-installing 2.7.1, everything I can think of.
At this point I almost need to hack my DB to dump information into a backup copy of 2.7 and go from there.
AUTOUPDATE seems dangerous w/o embedded backups!!!!
I’ve tried everything mentioned here but am still getting white blank pages whenever I try to post a comment on my site.

Oddly enough, if I am logged in I can post comments. However, no visitor can post a comment. I do have comments enabled.
I cannot tell you how many blogs I have seen this on. I’m visiting education blogs all the time and its pretty much like 4 in 10 that this happens. no exageration. #shityounot

I use Revolution theme on WordPress 2.7.
The blog is set to allow anyone to post comments on articles. But after someone posts a comment, he sees only a blank page. Not the post page. This has been brought to my notice and I tested it. But it works ok when I am logged in as admin.
Though the commenter is taken to a blank page after posting a comment, the comment is saved.
I tried changing the theme to default theme from the latest WP pack (2.7). Still the same status. Hence I think it is not a theme-related issue.
Kindly provide me a solution to this nagging problem.
