Blank Page after install

I uploaded wordpress in its folder and it seemed to work OK, then realized I wanted my site to open up with simply tonytharp.com and not have to add the /wordpress, so I erased everything and reloaded all the files but not in the WORDPRESS folder, just putting them in what I believe is the main root of the site. Now, I get only a blank page. (Oh yes, I did erase the database to start over). Any help for someone of very limited skills??????
