[resolved] Blank index page after moving WordPress to subdirectory (4 posts)

I wanted to clean up my root directory, so I moved all my WordPress core files to a directory named "wordpress." I followed all the instructions: change the URI first, copy the index.php file to the root and edit it... But somewhere along the way I must have got messed up, because after I finished everything, my home page showed up blank. I can still get into wp-admin.

I suspect my .htaccess file. That was the only thing I couldn't change because I'm hosting with GoDaddy and I can't find it.

After the move I updated my permalink structure to "/wordpress/?p=N" but my pages are still following my old structure, which was simply "/". Can someone help me figure out what's wrong and fix it?

Oh. Um. My theme is broken. Let me try to fix that and I'll see if I need more help.

if you can't find your .htaccess on godaddy, you didn't have one. They are not hidden. It would have been in your root with all your WP files

Also, you don't need to update your permalink structure to point to the subdirectory.....it's not necessary. Save permalinks back to default to reset
