My admin screen is nothing but a white screen. I have my picture up above and the left sidebar. Other than that I have nothing. This happened after I downloaded the latest version of WP.

  • Have you successfully logged into your dashboard or you are still lingering on yourdomainname.com/wp-login.php ?

If you have successfully logged in, try to check on the error_log on wp-admin. Check on the last line on what is the error telling. It could possibly telling that your memory has exhausted or any plugins/themes has crashed.

Yes, I have. No matter what link I click on in the left sidebar on my admin page all I get is the white screen. I can’t see anything at all except the sidebar and my avatar. Nothing else is seen.

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – re-running the upgrade manually using /wp-admin/upgrade.php.

I too have blank screens–dashboard, contents, everything is in whiteout.
It started when I mindlessly clicked the button to upgrade to version 3.2.1. I stumbled unknowingly into the WordPress-Earthlink compatibility abyss.
After exploring this problem and trying several unsuccessful fixes, I decided to reinstall the most recent version I knew had worked: 2.9.1. To my great relief, the dashboard showed all my prior posts intact. To my great disappointment, they were formatted in an ancient theme, not the Twenty Ten I had been using. Not finding these theme available, I activated Twenty Eleven. That’s when I got the all-white screens.
So what did I do wrong this time? Please keep in mind that I’m a working professional for whom code is emphatically not poetry.
    Thanx.

Download your latest version of 3.2.1 from http://wordpress.org/download/ then unzip and upload it back your root.

Then try access to your dashboard again. If you are running version 2.9.1, most likely it will not able to support the latest version of theme which is the Twenty Eleven.

Strange as it may sound. Problem fixed. When I accidently loaded google chrome my admin came up when I went to the site using the chrome explorer. Thanks for trying to help all.

Please help me. I’m having the same issue.

    Blank dashboard with admin sidebar.
