blacklisted by Google; is it comment spam?

    Hello good people,

    My blog, TateHausman.com, has been blacklisted by Google. I think its because of a WordPress security breach. Here’s whats happening:

    Until about 4 months ago, when you Googled my name, Tate Hausman, you got TateHausman.com first in the rankings. Now when you Google my name, TateHausman.com doesn’t even come up. Instead, the latest top three listings are:

    … all of which are bogus spammy things. But I don’t actually know what to call them. Does anyone? If I knew what to call them, maybe I could look up a fix.

    When I log into the Google Webmaster tools to check out what GoogleBot sees when it looks at TateHausman.com, all the top 50 keywords are typical spam keywords: credit, insurance, auto, quote, bank … etc.

    What have I done wrong? How can I fix it?

    youre hacked, tate.

    Look at the source of the front page of your site, about 2/3 of the way down.

    you cant ‘fix’ those other sites, since theyre not yours, btw.

    cleaning out hacked sites, and upgrading while you go is covered fairly extensively on these forums.

    Below, Ive linked to threads I know ive replied to, in hopes that theres a majority of info within them.

    you need to clean up the site, change your passwords, etc.., upgrade, and then resubmit your site to google for reconsideration.

    if you cant do the ‘unhacking/upgrading by yourself, look for some paid help, so that it gets done right — some of us do this sort of thing for $$.

    damn. you are very right — I am seriously hacked.

    thing is, I thought I had solved this problem by upgrading to WordPress version 2.6. I guess not.

    Whooami, what would it cost to hire you to help me clean up my site and prevent future attacks? It would be worth a couple hundred bucks to me. I could probably do it myself but it would take me forever, and as shown before, I probably couldn’t get it done correctly anyways.
