    I wish to remove the 'read more' buttons from the homepage and use the circles to link to pages instead. I can't edit the HTML so how can I do it?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the link.

    Have installed it but am a bit of a newbie as to how to use it exactly. I just want to completely remove the read more buttons from the homepage. Could you walk me through how to do it please?

    Thanks

    Have you completed this step?

    Edit more-link ("Read more"/"Continue reading"/etc.) structure according to your needs in Settings -> Custom More Link Complete

    I'm in the 'Custom More Link' section of settings and have the 'More Link Pattern' box that I can edit. Just not sure what code should be in there if I want to delete the read more buttons entirely.

    It currently reads

    %linktext% «%title%»

    What should it read? Sorry new to WP and its all a learning curve for me!

    Thanks

    I've initiated a couple of threads asking about how to remove the read more buttons in Blackbird theme. Haven't received any help yet, hope to get some. Like nath2310, it's unclear to me what to change in Custom More Link, if that is the answer. I've seen a website where the designer is successful in removing the read more buttons, so I know it can be done. I read where the following code in custom styling options will do it:
    '.feature-content .read-more{
    display:none;
    }
    '
    Yet, I've been unsuccessful with that. When you change CSS, is there anything required beyond saving your change and refreshing your website?, e.g. Compile? As the question betrays, I'm very new to all of this stuff.

    @rfhurst If you're not contributing towards the original posters' issues, please do not post in their threads. Re-asking help does not count as contribution.
