Bin corrupt – will not empty (Expert advice/usual methods tried)

Hello

******* Please note : I have tried the usual methods already so am not starting from a ‘lazy’ point.******

I have hundreds of deleted posts in the Bin (as shown by the number beside it) – the Bin itself is corrupt – the page mydomain.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=post returns a blank page.

I have tried various plugins to empty this as have I added the delete line to the wp-config:

define(‘EMPTY_TRASH_DAYS’, 1 ); // Disable Trash & Delete Immediately Without Prompt (Zero days)

… all to no avail.

I am thinking that it is to do with my CHMOD settings – using the 0755 and 0644 only across the various folders.

Is there an expert here who may be able to advise me?
