Biggest flaw of p2 (3 posts)

The (in my opinion) biggest flaw of p2 is inherent to WordPress.

In WordPress articles take precedence over comments. The author of an article can edit and delete comments on her article. The author of a comment cannot edit or delete her comment.

If p2 wants to become the "roll-your-own" twitter or facebook this functionality definitely needs to be added.

I see two ways to achieve this, both require changes to WordPress itself.

    1. No comments on p2, only posts and sub-posts
      • (authors could always edit and delete their posts, the author of the parent post could have the ability to delete her post along with the child posts)
    2. Add a new capability: "edit_own_comment"
      • (authors could always edit and delete their own comments)

In P2 when you allow anyone logged in to post they only get to edit the comments if they actually have a user role of author right?

Check out the codex to learn about what capabilities the different roles have: http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#Roles
