Initially left the following 5-star review and comment

Exactly the fb photo album plugin I’ve been waiting for — super easy, love the thumbnail shape options and versatility (both widget and shortcode, unlimited albums, no privileges or app id needed). So far working flawlessly for me! Love it thank you and great job!

BUT then what I realized immediately after doing so : There appears to be an error in the fancybox script part of this plugin, which in turn rendered all of my other scripts invalid and broken. Or maybe the error is elsewhere? (beyond me). Photos were displaying fine, but my site was instantly all screwed up on other pages that use animations (both css and js).

    The error shown :

Uncaught TypeError: Object function (){b.open.apply(this,arguments)} has no method ‘init’ jquery.fancybox-1.3.6.min.js?ver=3.7.1:19

The error address (domain being zumbawithsue.com) :

    http://zumbawithsue.com/wp-content/plugins/ram108-fbalbum/includes/fancybox/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.6.min.js?ver=3.7.1

Working & previewing within Chrome for Mac.

Any thoughts? I’ve since deactivated the plugin and everything is back to working correctly. I’m also in maintenance mode while under construction but can quickly take it out if there is any response here.. Thanks!

I’m so bummed because was really looking forward to using this plugin — the actual album feed and thumbnail shape options are great!

Hi! Thank you for your feedback.

You can get a Fancybox error if you have several lightbox plugins installed on your site.

    From the FAQ:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/ram108-fbalbum/faq/

    Troubleshooting
Double image appearing or Image not appearing on click. Disable builtin Fancybox in Facebook Photo Album settings page or deactivate installed lightbox, colorbox or prettyPhoto plugin in WordPress plugins page.

Let me know if your problem solved.

Thank you for your quick response! In my case though this is a brand-new fresh WP install and I am working with very few plugins– under 10, and half of those are WP basic suite plugins — and none having anything to do with Lightbox…. I’m wondering if there is a conflict between my theme (Elegant Themes –>”Lucid”) and your plugin?

Either way, this does not appear an issue of conflicting plugins, as like I said, I am working with very few, and none of them dealing with Lightbox or any other image viewer.

When the problem occurred with the plugin, it affected all of my css animations, transitions, featured image slider and video posts (those are the only specific things that I noticed to be affected). I only mention in case it helps with your development! Any idea?

I can show you the list of plugins I have installed if that helps too. I have since uninstalled and am giving up but if you do want the feedback I can gladly reinstall and show you what went on. Best of luck, thank you for trying! S.

Just try to disable builtin Fancybox script in Facebook Photo Album plugin settings page.

OK reinstalled and made sure Fancybox popup image is unchecked as well as FB like button; Am getting following error now : [ram108] Facebook error response: Unsupported get request. [check url] [read FAQ] [ask Google]

    • Link is correct
    • Yes I have permissions (trying with Profile Pics album, as profile pics are always public)
    • Yes it’s a public business page
    • Yes I am an admin
    • Yes I am logged into FB
    • Yes it was working before with thumbnails showing correctly
    • This time, I am not seeing the same broken transitions and featured slider that I had before with the first install/uninstall

Hmmmm…..I took the site out of maintenance mode — apologies for the bright color shock lol :

    From the FAQ:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/ram108-fbalbum/faq/

Facebook error response: Unsupported get request. Check the URL to be sure that photos are there. The page have to be public. Plugin can’t access photos from private profiles. Read “Use Facebook to manage your photos” for further information.

Access to private profiles demands Facebook App to be created and authorized with the plugin. This will be available in next release.

I don’t have your Facebook link to check.

OK that second time I was using incorrect link, big apologies! First time was the correct business page, here : fb page

    But it doesn’t matter because everything looks great now! I don’t know what the 2nd install changed but I just tested in a all browsers with and without the lightbox option — working perfectly now! No more glitches, links are good, and videos are showing up. Hmmm…. I guess I’ll just keep the lightbox option off to be safe;

Thank you again for your time, I would love to donate, and appreciate the assistance! (Also apologies again for that fb link confusion).

    Working now

Ahhhh spoke to soon. Same problem is back.

    site broken again, changed nothing

Has to be this plugin. As you can see, my links are squished and have lost their slide transition effect; My featured image slider (large main image slider on homepage) is missing again, and video posts are gone– AND suddenly an *extremely* long page load time, that should not be that way. Must have something to do with this plugin, as there has been nothing else added.

Can you see what I see?

Something very wrong on my end; Site would not even load after a point, blank screen. After I deactivated, loaded fine again.

Wish I could send you a screenshot so you could see exactly what elements were affected. Either way, sadly not going well over here.

Zumba, you are moving too fast. First of all plagin requirements have to be checked (Read FAQ again :))) at the plugin settings page.

If your pages are load too slow, that means, you don’t have APC cache installed and plugin request Facebook each time you open the page. It will be really very slow. And if to request too much Facebook will ban you.

That is why Cache is very imortant to install.

But wait a little bit. A new version 0.5 is coming soon and will improve all your issues.

If you are subscribed to this topic, I’ll let you know of new release.

With new update 0.4.9 you don’t need cache anymore. Your pages will load fast.
