Big, famous sites that use WordPress

I’m a big believer in WordPress and have been driving to move the entire website for which I head up product management over to it for the better part of a year. We have new leadership in place, however, that’s pushing us toward Drupal.

Now, for reasons I don’t really feel like getting into here — and shouldn’t have to, considering this is WordPress’ official website, right? — I think WordPress is the better solution for our site, which is focused on news and education with a heavy video emphasis. But when I promote WordPress, what I keep hearing is, “But the Huffington Post isn’t using WordPress.”

Can anyone give me some big, famous sites I can use to bolster my argument? I can’t bring up CNN or The New York Times, because what I get back is, “They just run their blogs off WordPress, not the whole site.” I know there are prominent sites out there that use WordPress exclusively, or almost exclusively. Help me out here — and help WordPress out here!
