• The WP-Downloadmanager 1.60 is acting as a proxy as default.

There is an option in the Settings where you can enable the Header Location redirect directly to the file: http://cl.ly/403x2v0S0I2S0w2K2e1R

If redirect to file isn’t active the Server is downloading the file every time a user download it and send then the file to the user.
Example: File of 100MB, Output Download Option Active
    1) User open the URL to http://myserver.com/….
    1) Server (myserver.com) download the file from the downloadserver.com
    2) The myserver.com sends the File to the user.
So the user have to wait until the Server has downloaded the File and the Server myserver.com is generating 100mb in rx, 100mb in tx. In total this is 200mb Traffic for every user who wants to download this file.

The WP Plugin Archive now is full of old Plugins. WP-Downloadmanager 1.6 has been released in 2010, please remove old, outdated Plugins from the Archive, then WP would be more secure!
