Hi,
i was playing around with htaccess and my entire blog crashed, i know what i was doing, but the problem is that i can't even sign in to see my cp and erase the htaccess file.
Yahoo gave me admin rightst and i have a backup sql file of the old blog. i also have admin rights. Is this hopeless ?? should i just start over?
ss.
why not just ftp to the site and rename or delete the .htaccess.
Then generate a new one.

What is this htaccess? Right now my blog is nothing but white, I cant see anything. Some say its because of htaccess.

i was trying to write a 404 redirect, according to internet suggestions.
i tried alot of different things, from both the wp forum and google.
all was fine until the last "idea". then it all went bad.
i actually deleted the account for that blog. my old template was still available (that makes me really happy)---minus all my pages and posts. i think they may have been permanently destroyed. I could see the index.php file and it said "size 0"
i'm not a pro, this is totally new to me. it's the best i can do for now!

to answer your question Stafford21, yes it was htaccess
