   Can you try to do a test link to image shack?

   I can't even post a simple html link to the site.

   http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=front9qd.jpg

   I can't post the image or post a link. It crashes WordPress. Every other site looks fine. Can you do a non published test post to see if it works for you?

   both img and a href links break it completely.

   Wow, I just did more testing.

   I can post a link to http://www.image.com

   Once I try to change the link to http://www.images.com is crashes.

   I can make the link http://www.imaget.com or http://www.imager.com but http://www.images.com and anything after the s is not allowed by wordpress.

   Not Acceptable
   An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wordpress/wp-admin/post.php could not be found on this server.

   What the heck is going on? Why the heck can I link to ANYTHING besides http://www.images...com the s after image breaks WordPress completely.

   Note 2: I just blew away my entire install, reinstalled from scrated, restored my databases from a backup, and the problem still exists.

   I just checked on a test install and could make a link to http://www.images.com and also to the imageshack address you posted above.

   Edit. I didn't post the image because it would be crazy to post such a huge pic :)

   So strange.

   What would make my install decide to break on http://www.images(anything).com and no other sites?

   Even after a fresh install?

   Anything in the web server error logs?

   Total shot in the dark, but is your host running mod_security maybe?

   maybe you should try putting http:// before it. and i agree with handy_solo, maybe its mod_security...

   1) I have put it in the http:// , just left it off here in order to make it quicker to type.

   2) mod_security? Don't know what that is, but, would it be that specific to allow links to anything under the sun besides a link that contains the straing images in it?

   3) I used to be able to post links and images from imageshack with no problem.. then one day it just stopped.

   Did you ever ask your host about mod_rewrite? Or find out if they block offsite links? I dunno man, but this really doesn't seem like a WP issue -- I'd be talking to my host.
