Well I’m getting some were, site is up, but off line to public for now
Not a lot of info on this Better WP Security, I followed all the steps correctly and it still killed my site, even after I did the back up db
I’ve used WP for years and this is the first time I’ve had any issues with word press or any plugins.
O yer it didn’t write any thing to my .htaccess file !
personally I don’t think much of the software, seems to be so many that are having the same issues
I now have my site back up well most of it, I had to edit the SQL database by importing and exporting and changing table names to wp_ again, I found most of the data is still in there, it seems Better WP Security changed my theme and remove all post, gallery, comments and categories. It also asked me to reinstall WP ?
One thing I can’t seem to find in the SQL file is categories, any one care to point me the right way with the DB !
As to the DB, I created a new db and import a copy of the db into that, then I opened up an older db to count the number of tables and slowly start working out what I needed to rename and remove, all over around 3 hours work so far.
