Better spam filtering and control (8 posts)

I want any comment with more than X number of links in it (where I specify X) to be deleted outright. I don't even want to see them.

Second, I need a filter where I can control the spam by keyword combinations.

I bugged the Akismet guys about this and they pointed me to the "discussion options", but they aren't helping very much. I already moderate all comments so holding a comment for moderation on links > X isn't helping. I want to delete them outright.

As for the filters, a single word filter doesn't help me get rid of Paris Hilton stuff. I don't want to block either of the words paris or hilton in case I happen to post something on France or the hotel chain. Any chance of getting boolean logic statements for a filter? Or better yet, a regular expression filter?

Either way, having more than one "folder" would be good. For example, a "undecided" folder for the e-mails that get caught by the filter versus the "spam" folder which has a 97% or better chance of being spam.

No. On your suggestion, I'm trying to find out about it online, but the link that appears to be correct is down. I'll keep looking.

am i allowed to post links in here?

Why wouldn't you be allowed to post links? You have to be able to point things out, don't you?

The site was down, but looks like it's working fine now. I'll definitely check it out when I can. There's a lot of people who suggest running them both together too.

Ok, I've installed and tried it for a while. I still get a bunch of comments in Akismet that have more than X number of links. Is there a way to make Spam Assassin go first and delete them so I don't have to ever see them?

FINALLY! I found EXACTLY what I'm looking for:

This filter uses a keyword list and links limit to completely DELETE the spam before it ever hits Akismet. Thank FSM I finally found it!
