• On the General options tab I have left the default filter words that came with version 1.3.3

But it doesn’t seem to work as I expected.

    I searched on a 6 letter word (I’ll fudge the spellings for PC reasons) “v @ g | n a”
This returned 5 pages that contain the 3 letter string “ina” – including a page with the 6 letter word in it. I though no results would be returned for any word in the filter list.

And… The heatmap reset with 1.3.3 colours and all the popular searches reset as well. Can the next update leave a site’s existing heat map database and settings untouched?

Otherwise I’m very grateful for the functionality.

    Hi,

The filter that I use is Ban Builder. It just removes out the words and then runs the search. Unfortunately, it’s not fool proof and doesn’t give the best results at times.

I’m planning on reworking the filter to create a blanket ignore list. If a word falls within this list, then the search will be blocked.

On the second topic, I’m a bit surprised by this behaviour in the case of your upgrade. The upgrades on my blogs didn’t touch the heatmap database at all or the custom settings.

    Did you upgrade from v1.3.2?
