I'm completely new to WP. I don't have any experience coding. How can I get a better editing tool for posts and pages. I don't know code and I want to do more than just make my text bold, italicized, or add a link or picture. Is there a simple plugin that will give me a better editing tool? Thanks!

What is the "more" that you want to do? (and why?)

I want to be able to select font colors, underline, increase or decrease the size of the font. Really simple things. I'm an old TypePad user and used to their hosted version in which everything was really easy to change.

Also, a few of my editors have questions about how to include an image off a desktop. Currently there seems to be no easy way to do that, instead you need a URL.

I'm confused... you use the built-in upload tool, right below the posting field, to get your image in a post from anywhere on your computer, not just the desktop.

And there are some editor plugins available that add more functionality to the RTE that's there...

Maybe you should try reading up on some of the documentation about getting started with using WordPress and using plugins for special features and so on...
