• Hi,

I’m havin’ an awful time formatting pages in my blog.

2 issues: skipping a line, essentially inserting an empty line, and keeping inserted in-line ‘spaces’ in place. Everything looks OK on the ‘Visual Tab’, but doesn’t convert after ‘Preview changes’.

I’m not an html xpert, but located this code to skip-a-line, or, insert empty line:

now it actually did work a couple of times, but then it doesn’t and I’m not savvy enuf to detect the reasons why it does or it doesn’t.

Is there a better code? What should precede it and/or follow it?

Thanx for any help on this,
    Tom Dolan

  • This should get you a hard line feed: ‘<br class=”blank” />’

Insert in html mode – it will survive shifting between visual and html mode

    Saildude,

Yes, yes, yes! Thank you, it works like the proverbial charm. And,

While you’re on a roll, suggestions for in-line spacing, using space bar, that will survive?

BTW, if you care to comment: Are these issues a WP 2.9.2 issue or could it be a Theme design issue? Just wondering.

    Thank you so very much,

    Tom Dolan
