    Hi Allen,

Followed all the steps to get the beta installed.

Got a 504 Gateway Time-out error while waiting for activation (I guess my host is causing that). Seem to have everything carried across to the new layout except for all the feeds. Have 11 feeds in the Feed List but should have 121 feeds.

When I started writing this topic, I was going to ask you if there could be an upload feed option that would upload the exported feed list created before the upgrade (instead of having to copy and paste).

    But…
have been jumping over and back to my wp admin and I see the feed list is increasing little by little and am now up to 72 feeds, so maybe I will have all feeds displayed soon!

Am checking all the settings. So far, the only one that didn’t update correctly was the “Total Entries per Fetch” in the AutoPost, but that may be because I had it set at 600 and that is not in the drop down now so it was 1.

well, regarding the feeds per fetch, that only happened because that option of having 600 wasn’t carried over to the beta version.

Yes, the time out is going to be a problem if your server is going to limit that…I’ll need to figure out how to handle that.

There is an upload feed option…but I can’t expect most people to go through a download and upload (it has to work as an automatic upgrade).

Yes there is the upload feed option but has to be keyed in. I guess I meant a file import option. I understand that the automatic needs to work!

Now up to 113 items on the feed list so looks like that is going to work.

I don’t currently have any shortcode pages on my menu but will add some later.

Getting this message where the widget should be…

    Recent posts…
There is a problem – it appears you are using categories and no feeds have been put into those categories.

But maybe that will correct itself when I have all my feeds again.

    Great job Allen.

Would love to have the WP Category shown in the Feed List and edit.

the upload feature will work for now..a file import is for later on when I have time to work on it.

That message indicates the feed list isn’t ready…it shows up when after hitting the database with a query for all the feeds of a certain category, there is nothing there.

So, my guess is the categories haven’t been added yet.

Now, the WP Category won’t be shown in the Feed List – I asked users about this awhile ago and most didn’t want this..again, something I may think about later after I get this beta version launched.

Got all my 121 feeds in the list now!!!

Flushed the cache but still showing the widget error.

Have to go out for a couple of hours. Hopefully by then the widget will correct itself and I will add some shortcode pages to the menu.

Very happy with the upgrade, so far………..

you mean the widget (like the widget in the theme) or are you seeing this with the autopost or the shortcode?

    Allen,

    Uploaded that php. Deactivated. Activated.

    Still have the widget issue.

Ran the Diagnostic feed validator. Had error with
    http://feeds2.feedburner.com/time/business
(Had no problem with this feed before the upgrade.)

    Trashed this feed for now.

Ran the validator again. No errors.

    Got widget error.

Changed the Widget from All Categories to just 1 that I know posted after the upgrade.

    Got widget error.

Wondering if if has to do with the 500 error and maybe all the posts didn’t get converted to the new category format. Don’t know how to check that! Or perhaps something else causing the issue.

Added a menu item “Top Stories – shortcode.

Same error message as multi importer widget.

Happy to work thru this with you or even give you the admin login info if that would help diagnose.

    Best…
