khanvictI'm currently hosting a wordpress blog on justhost but am starting a new one that is more audio intensive; meaning i need to be able to upload,stream,share lots of mp3 (not music/copyrighted) files. there will be a couple hundred of them with different file sizes upto probably 100mb or so.
justhost does not allow me to host/stream mp3 content. plus, their maximum file size limit is only 10mb so that cripples any hope i may have had in sticking with them for this new project.
Therefore I need the following requirements:
- WordPress Install
- Unlimited Disk Space
- Unlimited Bandwidth
- Max File Size Limit should be no less than 100mb [Preferably no limit]
- Term of Service should allow me to upload and keep files I am linking/streaming to actively on the site.
If I can't get that in a webhost then my next choice is to use justhost or another webhost and then also use in conjunction an offsite file storage place where i can hotlink directly to the file.
The online file storage I would use would then still need the same requirements as the file host i just described but the most important attribute is that i need to be able to get a direct link to the file when i hotlink it from the website.
For instance, when i upload files to mediafire it provides me with a masked link like mediafire.com/?asdfjkl. that's no good when i use mp3 plugins on wordpress which require the direct link to the file.
justhost costs me a little over $40/year so i am looking for something in that same neighborhood but if i can fulfill all the requirements i'm looking for i don't mind paying a little more.
your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
