Support » Fixing WordPress » Best way to update a post?

  • Hello, I was wondering what is the best way to update a post? I’d like to add more information to a post but at the same time, since I’m updating it, would like to have that post put back at the top of my page as if it were a new post. So people can see it without having to look for it.

Is there a way to do this without really missing with the chronology of my site?

  • You’ll need to mess with the chronology of your site.

Edit your post in Manage => Edit, and use the “edit timestamp” option off to the right to update the timestamp.

    Hello

IMHO the best bet is to make the changes and then create a new post telling everyone that the earlier post has changed and then link to it from the new post. 🙂

Sounds good. I’d rather not mess with the timestamps of my posts so I’ll use option 2.

    Thanks guys.
