Best way to incorporate sub-headline

    Basically, I need to include a sub-headline ie.

    Title!
    Oh, something that makes the title less vague.

    Entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry, entry.

    Is there a plugin, or some way to work this into the Write screen?

    What do you mean by a sub-headline? You mean another line of description like the one shown here below the header title and slogan? If that’s what you want, then you will just need to add a tag in your style sheet.

    No, I mean in as:

    (16px) Coldplay release new album!
    (14px) Although they may split after the tour, rumours suggest.

    (12px) Coldplay, coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay coldplay.

    So “Although they may split after the tour, rumours suggest.” would appear where the meta typically displays. Integration into the Write screen would be pleasurable.

    I use the ‘Get Custom Field Values’ plug-in for my ‘departments’..

    That works a treat, but is there something that works its way into the Write page a little better? Something that shoved its way in between Title and Post and could be easily thrown into the template would be lovely.

    Just put in your sub title wrapped in a tag eg <h3>

    I’m with Root on this one. I just start the post with an <h3> heading if I want a subheading.

    The ‘rc:custom_field_gui’ plugin creates a new text block in the edit screen, but it’s under the “body’ block – not exactly what you want, but close enough IMHO. I use ‘Get Custom Field Values’ to show it in my theme using the following code:

    <?php echo c2c_get_custom('dept', '<b>', '</b> dept.'); ?>
