[resolved] Best solution: 2 loops or 1? (5 posts)

I'm starting a new project, so things are initial planning phase. The site is pretty straight forward, but the client wants a blog AND wants to post other articles with advice/tips.

I'm not sure the best way to do this, but my thoughts were:

    1. Standard WP install, blog page has loop that excludes advice/tips posts. Then an advice/tips page that only includes those posts.

    2. A WP MU install with two blogs.

Thoughts? I've never used WP MU, if that is a factor.

#1 and you could even use a plugin (like Advanced Category Excluder) for that, but it's easy enough to exclude categories in queries.

As for MU, have you heard the WordPress and MU code will be merged in the coming future?

Thanks for the thoughts Michael. I'm familiar w/ excluding cats, so I was leaning in that direction. I thought I'd get people's 2 cents before I went down that path though.

And I had heard rumors about the MU integration. Wonder when it'll happen?

    I'm guessing 3.0 or so.
