• I have used a load of commercial and free shortcode plugins, including multiple heavily promoted packs from codecanyon like SWS and All-in-One.

I have also used many shortcode plugins from wordpress org, including semi-commercial plugins like Ultimate Tiny Mce (with addons).

    Shortcodes Ultimate wins hands down.

And you really don’t know what you’ve got until you buy the “maker” addon. While the skins addon is very good, the “maker” frees you up.

Shortcodes Ultimate has already taken the lead, because I use CRED Toolset, and CRED last version was thoroughly worked over so that Shortcode Ultimate becomes compatible with the stuff made by the WPML guys, who are also doing excellent work.

BTW, it works with Genesis theme without any glitch at all. And doesn’t conflict with Bulletproof Security.

I only wish Vladimir included a shortcode caching feature using the “transient” stuff wordpress coders talk about. Nick at elegant themes, I believe had such a cache with his ET shortcodes plugin. I own that one too.

But this is the first time I am writing a review for any plugin.

My kudos to the developer. And I bought the addons.

  • Thanks for your comments. This info is most helpful for me in deciding which shortcode plugin to use. Looking for shortcode plugin compatible with WPML.
