Support » Fixing WordPress » Best setup for a blog turned blog-within-a-site?

  • At present I have a blog running through WP.com, which when I started was fine for what I needed. We’ll call that site myblog.com.

Now, I have bough some space and a new domain we’ll call that me.com. The new space will be used for my portfolio, bio, as well as my blog. At the moment my blog is the main item on the site, whereas on the new site I want the blog not to be the first thing you see when you get to me.com.

However, I want to setup myblog.com so that it directs to the blog section of me.com, whilst maintaining all of the existing filepaths (don’t want to disrupt my links in).

What is the best way of doing this? Set up page for all of the non-blog stuff, transfer all of data over from the WP.com account, and then set the me.com theme to display an about home page first of all? Would there be any way for the myblog.com URL to automatically open the blog, while me.com opens the home page?

Thanks, and I appreciate in advance the replies over Christmas.
    Joshua
