   Hello,

   I am looking for a spam filter I can just setup and let run without having to moderate all the posts that come in. I get about 75 comments a day, about 10-15 are junk or spam comments. I want to also prevent users from posting, 'great article' or other small useless comments. Also I want to let this run without tons of moderation so I can work on other projects and write articles. So far I haven't been impressed with akismet because it only blocks generic spam like what I get in my email. Is there a specialized comment spam plugin?

   or what about akismet and defensio plug-ins? I know there services are pay per use and I was looking for something free.

   nope - never used those as I've been more than impressed with the 2 I supplied links for
   they work well and have been maintained for years now

   What I found about the SiteBrains plugin is that it blocks links that contain content that is not relevant to my site.
