I've just been through Poll Hell..

    I tried;

    1. Powpoll - Can't see anything when I go to Manage/Poll

    2. Wp-Poll - Installs fine, can't even find the options to set up a poll.

    3. Democracy - Won't work correctly for various reasons..

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Jim

I've only used WP-Poll, but am a little confused as to how the options were missing?

It installs fine and I see it activated in the plugins, but I can't find where I can make a poll, edit one, etc..

Once you've activated the plugin, it's part of the top level navigation in the WordPress admin interface: the same level as 'Write' 'Manage' and 'Design' etc. and is called 'Polls'.

Clicking on the tab gives more sub-menu options.

p/s: My admin interface looks slightly different to the standard WordPress one as I'm using a plugin called 'Baltic Amber Admin Themes and Schemes'.

Well, thank you, I found out what the problem was...

The first screenshot is as follows...

The second is as follows, here is what I disabled.

The third one shows the plugin I needed.. which shows I'm fine ...

Which begs the question, is there anything I can install to "Show" the menu without the same problem I had?

    Thank you

Thank you for posting the screen-shots - it does help alot! :)

I suppose if I were ever in the same situation (thankfully not at present) of having too many 'top-level' menu plugins, I would consider installing something like Fluency Admin, which changes the admin interface quite dramatically, but definitely gives more space for plugin menus to be listed. It is also compatible with OzH Dropdown Admin Menu, so maybe a combination of the two (or either separately) might work out for you.
