I am starting a funny picture site and I would love it if people (registered or not) could submit (upload) there own content (images). I've looked a bit for a plugin but have not found anything.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm also looking for a plugin like this, except mine is where any registered users can create and assign posts.

Hope a plugin like this exists!

    There is this plugin http://thedeadone.net/software/tdo-mini-forms-wordpress-plugin/

As for uploading, might have to resort to letting people login and use the Role Manager Plugin to control them. See Roles and Capabilities for a link to that plugin.

Well, I downloaded the link and turned on features, etc. Then i get the following message:

Error: Your default author must not have publish capabilities!

I just want to know what this means? As in can I as the adminstrator still create posts, etc.?

Should I change this? Because I still want to create, edit posts as the administrator.

Means that you've got the default new user set to high. Take a look at that Roles page that the other Michael links you to for details. I wouldn't be given out anything higher than Contributor as you're going to want to approve anything that coems in.

The setting should be at Dashboard -> Options -> general -> 'New User Default Role'

    Hope this helps,

I still don't understand who the "default author" is suppose to be, it wont let me pick my own admin username as the author.

Is it only referring to the TDOMF posts?

Should I just create a new user for the "default role"?

I'd appreciate any advice relating to this matter.

Does the TDOMF plugin not work all the features you need for your site? I got it up and running and it is working great for mine.

PS: If anyone else had encountered problems similar to mine, make sure you set their role to "subscriber", not "Contributor".

i looked for the "default author" quite some time because i thought (like anyone else..) it belongs to wordpress.
nope: just scroll down in "options:TDOMF" - there is a dropdown where you can choose your dummy user..
    cheers
