Hi,
I've been struggling to find a simple solution to sell an eBook and DVD on a Joomla site and given up as all the options where a bit overcomplicated, so I've decided to have a go with WordPress...
All we need to do is sell a downloadable pdf (with an automated download feature), or a DVD which is mailed to them. We'd also like to sell both together with a discount.
Can anyone recommend a good extension to try?

PHPurchase is a WordPress Shopping Cart Plugin that let's you sell digital products. You can also integrate it with the WordPress Affiliate Platform to run your own affilaite program which would be a good idea for you since you are selling a digital product.
Another option to consider is using e-junkie. E-Junkie is a great service and also has the ability to give you an affiliate program. E-junkie is going to be more expensive in the long run though. Let me know if I can help in any way.

hi Samboll, the plugin sounds great, but it doesn't actually work. Tried it many times and always gives me an error message, that there isn't enough memory..........

I haven't tried this particular plugin. But one thing I HAVE discovered with other LARGE plugins that give me a memory error when I try to install them is that they WILL install if I use one of the following ways:
Upload the ZIP file to your plugins directory and use your CPanel to Unpack It.
UnZip the Plugin to a local directory and use an FTP program to upload it to my plugins directory.
See if that will work for you.

Oh... Forgot to mention that I have used e-Junkie in the past with GREAT SUCCESS!
