   I just moved everything over to a new computer. set up BitNami as my local. and installed WP.
   Then installed a theme i have been using. No problem.
   Then tried making a child theme....
   no more site.. Including the backend (dashboard) - all i get is the white screen of death.
   I have tried renaming the child theme so it couldnt be found by wordpress, that does not work. I have tried deleting the child theme, same results.
   I am fairly sure its something simple that i just cant find a solution to in the forums I've checked, but I would very much appreciate any tips/guidance. thank you

   Do you have any plugins installed? Which version of WordPress are you using?

   Disable all plugins if you have any enabled and make sure you are using the latest 3.3.1 version. Then delete all of the WordPress files and re-upload.

   See if that fixes the issue.

   thank you.

   was using 3.3.1
   deleted all of my plugins. (not sure but i dont think that was it)
   deleted my theme (dt-slash), and im golden.

   to follow up, i reinstalled all of the plugins and was ok, but when i tried to "restore" the theme file from the recycle bin, i had the same problem. (might as well make sure i know where the problem was rooted)
