   I'm using the "Benevolence" theme on my blog and would like to install a plugin or find a way to stop SPAM posts. I've tried to install various plugins (like the Did You Pass Math? plugin) but they do not show up on the comments page.

   Whenever I've read about manually installing an anti-spam feature, the page "wp-comments-post.php" is mentioned and (as far as I know) Benevolence does not have that page (just a comments.php).

   My CSS skills are limited and I can't find an idiot walkthrough on how to install a word verification/anti-spam feature. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

   there's the list of 2.0 compatible plugins...
   i've never used any "word verification" or captcha plugins, but i do use a combo of SpamKarma2 and Akismet. I've never NEEDED word verification or captcha to block spam while using those two...
