Beginner Looking for some help with basics.

I’m new to wordpress. I am looking for resources that will help me to upload audio/video/image files to my site on various pages, produce a blog that allows for moderated comments. Also, basic “How to steps”, videos, etc. Preferably written instructions that are easy to follow. I know what needs to be done, it’s of matter of how to get it done.

Any help is much appreciated. If you would like to personally help me out with getting started on my site, I wouldn’t turn down any offers. I’m in a real bind. The guy that was going to help me with this site flaked out on me. If I can get a handle on the “how to’s” I should be able to maintain and update with little problems.
