I am once again new to website developement. Built them many years ago using frontpage. All that has been forgotten.
I am using wordpress to create a new website for my small business consulting practice, however, i want to stay away from a "blog" look and feel.
I don't want post/comments on all of my pages.
Can someone point me in the right direction of a theme or offer a suggested resource...
Much appreciated....

Hi Thom,
I am a total beginner here too. I found some nice themes on studiopress.com. I have my theme installed (I chose one called Landscape since mine is an art and photography page) and now I have to figure out how to get it to do what I want ;0)
I'm sure there are other great sites that offer themes, but I found Studio Press to have some really nice choices.
Good luck!

How well do you know HTML/CSS?
If you want to stay away from the "blog" look then you will probably be doing alot of custom designing and a little bit of coding.
The way I'm approaching wordpress is I'm building websites the way I want and then "Inegrating" wordpress into it, and only the parts I want. It makes things much more easier for me and fully removes the typical "blog WP" look.
Start learning HTML/CSS and refer to these links to help give you an idea of whats possible.
