bbPress Topic list code location

I am working on a plugin based on Members plugin that allows filtering of bbpress forums using permissions. I have the core functionality working (filtering the forums, buddypress activity feed, preventing access to links)

Now I am working on filtering the bbPress widgets (this is the easy one), topic views (/forums/view/latest-topics/ for example) and topic search. I am having difficulty finding the query code for these views and the search functionality.

Does anyone in which file is the query code located for topic views and search?

I checked online and by poking around the source code (opening all php files in notepad++ and doing searches – worked well so far), but could not find anything.
