Batch image upload through 'Media' menu in wordpress and also in NexGen gallery

Dear All,

I am currently working on a website and a number of its subdomains using wordpress multisite utility and my wordpress version is 3.0.4.

The current problem is that i am unable to do “batch upload” of images
using “Media” menu [flash uploader] and also by Next Gen gallery that i am using in my sites.

We are hosting these sites on our own server and I realise that the above problem is probably due to some Server restrictions that prevents batch upload.

Probably we will not be able to simply remove these restrictions (even if it is an issue with mod-security/.htaccess) due to security issues as we are also hosting many other sites on the same server.

So i request all WordPress enthusiasts all over the web to suggest provide me an urgent way to do the following inspite of the above mentioned restrictions. (Pls note: I am using WordPress 3.0.4)

a. Some way to batch upload images using “Media” menu even under
server restrictions
It can be either through flash uploads or even by some enhancement
for the current ‘browser upload”

b. I am using NEXTGEN Gallery. Here also i need to have batch
upload option. some way to do the same.
As of now i cannot find a better replacement(plugin or other) for
NEXT GEN gallery.

I request anyone out there to put urgently forward there suggestions and provide me someway out on this issue.
