basic inquiry

I want to start a blog on my Company site I am maintaing.

They wants to start a blog for JTS election coming up in near future.

There is a site called JTSFuture.com They already have a word press blog.

My company wants to join in that venture, so want to share the same database with few more addition in that.

So there blog comments can also be pulled in besides the blog comments posted on this end.

Is it a multisite setup?
Is it two databases working as backend?
I am little confused on thsi.

This is my first time to start blogging on a site.
I know some MYSQL and PHP coding but not a expert on that.

Is there any help on this on any place on word press or some where else where i can just foloow the step tp make it work for us.
