basic format question

    formatting for idiots: at some point my sidebar fell to the bottom of the page: http://www.soccerbawl.com

    I have never edited code in my life and don’t understand most of what I read trying to solve this problem. I’m willing to learn, but finding it hard to start.

    Start by editing your last post and look for strange code.

    thanks – i cut-and-pasted from another source, and the validator is giving me a lot of:

    end tag for element “p” which is not open.

    can you explain how to fix this.

    sorry to be so clueless…

    Just edit the posts one by one starting with your last one. The errors should be obvious.

    Also don’t copy & paste from MS Word. It will produce cruft in your post and it isn’t healthy for WordPress software.

    Always use a plain text editor to paste stuff into from other sources, (especially Word) and save the txt file to your desk top. I use one called :Blackboard where I can copy and paste stuff from other sources, then I save the Blackboard file, often over-writing old stuff.

    I then copy and paste the content from that txt file straight into my WordPress Post without fear of carrying gremlins.
