base64 issues with blog by email (3 posts)

Recently I set up the blog by email feature (following the directions on this page). This has brought up two issues:

1)When I send a post to my blog from my blackberry, it arrives in Base64 code. If I go online to a base64 decoder, I see my original text, but on my blog it displays the jumbled-looking base64 code.

2)All my email posts, whether sent from my blackberry or from my PC via thunderbird, are posted with a bunch of jumbled text info about the email at the top, for example: (I added some asterisks and adjusted a few things for privacy reasons)

    What are your thoughts?

Hmm, not sure but, when sending your email keep encryption (SSL, TLS, or whatever) turned off, and make sure it is sending with charset UTF8.

That makes perfect sense to me.
However, I'm having a horrible time figuring out how to turn off the email encryption on my blackberry. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!
