[resolved] "Badware" Built into a Theme?!?!? (3 posts)

    Hello!

    I recently installed a theme called "Corvette" that used to be located here: http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/2-columns/3945/wscorvette-theme-10/

    The developer's site is here:
    http://www.wiredstudios.com/wordpress-themes/wscorvette-theme-for-wordpress-by-wired-studios.html

    I can no longer access that theme. More importantly though if you google my site there's a warning link under the title that says "This site may harm your computer" and google is saying that I may be distributing "Badware". Here's what you see when you click the link to my site:

    http://www.google.com/interstitial?url=http://www.goutdevie.com/

    What is that about? The ONLY thing different on my site is the template. I haven't changed anything else.

    Can anyone offer some advice or insight? Also, what is wp-stats-php.info? My site always hangs up on that.

    Thanks!

    There are many unsavoury sites out there offering free WP themes containing malicious code but yours isn't one of them. The problem is,

    <meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.2" />

    You may also want to search the forum for "iframe injection".

    Thanks Len! I searched for iframe and found it in one of my posts. It was the same code that was posted here:

    Seems like many people had that happen. Thanks for the tip!!
